Each fall, our field school program brings local students out to Sage Hills and other preserves for a hands-on introduction to shrub-steppe ecology — the plants, animals, and soil that make this landscape work.
For many students, it's their first time on a trail in their own backyard. We partner with area schools to make the program free and easy to schedule.
Our staff offer free, confidential guidance for landowners exploring conservation easements, land donation, or estate planning options — with no pressure to move forward until it's right for you.
Learn About Land ConservationSince 1984, community support has protected 26,600+ acres of shrub-steppe, riverfront, and working lands — help us reach the next milestone.
